A Beautiful Dua

Today my three old daughter Zainab, spilled water again after doing the same thing only a few hours earlier. She didn’t want me to get cross, so she made an exchagurted sad face :o( but when she saw that I was getting frustrated she threw herself on the carpet and began crying and saying “I’m sorry, I’m so naughty!” Straight away, I stopped being cross with her and just wanted to reassure her that she was NOT a naughty girl, but a good girl! Not only did my anger disappear, I was now completely focused on making HER feel better! It was later that evening when I recalled the incident that I remembered one of my favourite duas from the Quran. The dua of Adam (AS).

“Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa in lam taghfirlana watar hamna lana koonanna minal khasireen”

“Our Lord ! we have sinned against ourselves and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us , we shall most certainly be lost.” (Quran 7:23).

How did Adam (AS) get forgiven? …he threw himself on the ground, so Allah, not only forgave him, but picked him back up! Allahu akbar!

We can learn so much about ourselves, life, and Allah by observing our Little Muslims. Subhanallah!
